Nathan :

Hello, I’m Nathan, and I’ll be assisting you today. My livelihood depends on your positive feedback, so your satisfaction is my highest priority.

Nathan :

I believe I can answer this, if you can locate the model number for me. It should be printed on a sticker on the back side of the tv.

Customer:

I have it NAthan

Customer:

thank you

Customer:

here it is:

Customer:

model: LE 32D450G1W / XZF

Nathan :

Perfect, thank you for the information.

Customer:

do you need anything else? Maybe a photo of the back side?

Nathan :

No that is sufficient, thank yo.

Nathan :

*you

Customer:

fine

Nathan :

This is a 2011 model HD ready LCD tv, and it is indeed freeview capable.

Nathan :

Meaning it does have a built in freeview tuner. You should be able to connect up an aerial to it and pick up local stations at no cost.

Customer:

I see

Customer:

what is the aerial? an antena?

Customer:

where do I get one?

Nathan :

Yes, aerial is antenna

Customer:

My neighbor has antena on the roof of our building

Nathan :

We call it an antenna (I'm in the US), I thought you called it an aerial in UK

Customer:

but I guess I can't get to that one

Customer:

I am from Serbia

Customer:

hahaha

Customer:

living in UK

Nathan :

Well he may be able to share, by putting a splitter off the lead coming into his area and running a line to your tv

Customer:

although he is an American guy, I doubt he would bother with me so much

Nathan :

But you can purchase an antenna easily at most any store that sells tvs and electronics, or online

Customer:

if I buy one, where do I need to place it? on the roof as well?

Customer:

also, can I detect (and how) it there IS an antena on my roof already

Nathan :

If you are in an urban area, you shouldn't need a roof mounted one

Customer:

I am, I am living in the central London

Nathan :

If you're within about 50km of the broadcast towers, you'll have no issue with an indoor antenna like this

Customer:

do you know where can I get one? and aproximative cost?

Customer:

also, where to connect it, when I get it?

Customer:

I am 3 km away from the broadcast tower

Nathan :

It has a round coaxial type lead, which will push/screw onto the silver threaded connector on the back of the tv

Nathan :

from there you go into the tv setup menu, under tuner/channels, and run the auto program function

Nathan :

you can order the one I just sent a link to right from amazon, under L20

Customer:

what do you mean, under L20?

Nathan :

£20

Nathan :

the cost

Customer:

I see

Customer:

thanks

Customer:

just one last question

Nathan :

Sure

Customer:

I have sent you a photo

Customer:

have you received it?

Nathan :

No I did not

Customer:

Customer:

shall I plug it into the round "antena" plug in?

Nathan :

There it came through, thanks

Nathan :

and yes, ANT IN is the port that will be used

Nathan :

You'll find a matching male version of the cable on most any antenna you purchase

Customer:

and when I take my TV remote control- the original Samsung one (I know this is a stupid question buy I am completely ignorant), and I press the power button.....

Nathan :

Correct,

Nathan :

turn the tv on

Nathan :

then press the INPUT (source) button on the remote, repeatedly, until it gets to the "TV" (tuner) mode.

Customer:

Nathan :

From there, you'll press MENU, then complete the auto scan process I mentioned earlier

Customer:

just a sec

Customer:

I am making a photo of my screen

Customer:

will show you, what appears on the screen when I turn the power button ON

Customer:

this is the first screen

Customer:

Customer:

then when I press SOURCE button, this is the second one......

Customer:

Customer:

which option of these 4, I should choose?

Nathan :

TV

Nathan :

on the 2nd screen, you have to choose TV mode, which is the internal tuner (for use with antenna)

Customer:

and then- RUN the menu

Nathan :

then press MENU

Customer:

is the TV going to find by itself the right option for the FREEVIEW?

Nathan :

then from there you should see an auto program (channel scan) selection

Nathan :

If you are prompted to choose air/antenna, or cable, you choose air. That is all you need to do.

Customer:

I see.....OK, will try

Customer:

great,

Nathan :

It will make sense once you connect the antenna and get into the menu

Customer:

now the last thing is to order an antenna

Nathan :

if you get stuck, you can get back in touch with me

Customer:

could you, PLEASE; go to the Amazon site and send me the right link ?

Customer:

since I might not know which one to choose????

Nathan :

I sent you a link to 1 specific item

Customer:

ok, do it

Customer:

great

Customer:

thank you so much

Customer:

since it is a first time I am using JUST ANSWER, May I log in again with you?

Customer:

next time?

Customer:

or it comes randomly

Customer:

also, how can I save this pannel?

Customer:

if I can?

Nathan :

Yes you may reach me again directly

Nathan :

just put "for nathan only" in the subject and it will reach me

Nathan :

and yes you may save the chat, after you complete rating step (smiley faces below our chat)

Nathan :

then you can view this page later, print it, etc

Customer:

fabulous, thanks so much+have a great day

Nathan :

You're very welcome, and good luck!

Customer:

thank you

Nathan :

My pleasure.
