I have a Panasonic viera model tx-l42e6b. The HDMI sockets seem to have stopped working. Playstation and Laptop input used to work, but now nothing. Any ideas?

Welcome to the site. I'm Dan.

This is pretty common. HDMI ports are quiet sensitive... moreso than most people think. They can be damaged easily by shocks and surges, static discharge, etc.

The remedy here is to replace the TV's A-board, which is where the HDMI ports live. Replacement is pretty simple... no soldering or anything like that, and I would be happy to show you how to get to the board.
