Mick what you are describing is classic bad capacitor issues on the powerboard, they tend to dry out or leak or have raised domed tops or balloon up so thats the first check visually can you do this yourself?the capacitors look similar to the graphic

Let me know please, the powerboard is found by tracing the powercord to it.

Yes if you don't feel comfortable with that let me know, at this point you have a problem with one of the boards inside the set, its looking like the powerboard so this has to be investigated, (like I have already outlined).

It may lead to replacement of a board I will provide all details we move a step at a time the boards are plug in boards
