I've done without a remote for years but bought one today to see if it would help. It does seem to work, on/off and moving around the screen, but still stuck on the setup screen.

Hi yes many times and just again now still stuck

Expert:  info tech replied 1 year ago.
The set will need to have the mainboard replaced im afraid, the firmware has gone bad locking the set up.

Do you think you can do this work yourself?I will provide all the necessary info for that i just need to know if you think you can?

Let me know please, a positive rating is appreciated thank you.

If you provide me with the information I will have a go.

Expert:  info tech replied 1 year ago.
ou need to get the back off the set, locate the mainboard thats the one with all the AV sockets on for the inputs, then unplug and unscrew the board from the chassis of the TV and take it out, locate the partnumber which will be on a sticky label or etched on the board and initially try www.shopjimmy.com with the partnumber only, if they don't have it google the partnumber to locate a supplier.

Let me know if you need more info

A positive rating is appreciated thank you.

Regards
Anthony
