Hello , my name is Jack
Perhaps I can help you with this problem but first could you please lookup your tv`s fullmodel number located on the back cover ?

Expert:  Jack replied 2 years ago.

Sorry but that is not the model number

The remote you have is being sold with a few different models and theirs numbers look something like 50HYT62U ,42HYT42U etc.

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

50HYT62U

Thanks.

Another thing , Do you happen to have a cell phone or tablet camera,digital camera or any camera that has a display or screen to test the remote ?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I have a cell phone, but don't know how to test the remote with this.

Expert:  Jack replied 2 years ago.

O.k then here is how to test your remote;
Turn on the camera and point the front of the remote at the camera lens ,then while looking at the remote through the screen press buttons on the remote.
If the remote is working, you should see light coming out the front of it while looking at it through the camera screen.
If you see nothing coming out and are not sure if you did the test correctly then try it with a known working remote.
You can look at the link below to see an example;

Let me know how that goes and in the mean time i will lookup your tv

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Yes - That seems to be working.

Expert:  Jack replied 2 years ago.

Ok then your remote is working and although i can tell you how to do this manually , you should be able to do this with the remote .

This look like the tv is stuck/frozen and may need a reboot.

Here is something for you to try ;
Unplug the TV's power cord and press on the "jag wheel" button directly on the tv ,keep holding it for 20 secs or so then let the tv sit unplugged for a couple of minutes before you try it again.

Let me know how that goes

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Sorry, but what is the 'Jag Wheel' button.
We have an 'On' button on the remote?
