Hello
Welcome

You will need to change the sky box default RF output to say Channel 36 remember you are using the analogue section of the set that is not used anymore (except for instances like this) you will see how to change the sky in the settings menu

I am an experienced techician myself and I have already tried different channel numbers below 59. eg, 25,36, 55.

I understand that the higher the channel frequency the greater the loss of signal.

My question is "how to get my Toshiba to tune to channel 68 as the Samsung TV I am using does it OK "

Nb. the Samsung is only 20" model and my Toshiba is 32". I need the big screen to work in my bedroom.

Can you help me with the Toshiba instructions on how to do this.

So you have two sets on the same 68 channel one works one does not, sir as a workaround you would be better dropping the freq to 36 at the box resetting the samsung to 36 why?because the tuner is bad in the toshiba set and it will mean trying to get hold of a terminal board for the toshiba which is now very old (I had one myself for many years at 37inch)and I cant see that being available, I can see you want a definitive answer but the only answer anyone will give you is this one

If that is not feasible then I am afraid you would need to swap the set there is no other answer

Replacing the TV is not a solution, this set was receiving analogue channels up to 4 years ago until my area went digital.

I will pursue a fix from another source. I will ask for a refund of my fee.

Thank you. Brian pye

The tuner has gone bad, its not getting to the top end of the band that is what your problem is so in other words the set needs to have a board replaced what I am saying is that it is very likely because of the sets age the board will not be available you could try www.flattvparts.co.uk

Relist: Inaccurate answer.
Replacing a TV for a tuning problem is not a solution. My Toshiba needs a procedure to retune both digital & analogue channels.
