Customer Question

About every 5 weeks, our Cockerpoo, aged 3, deposits huge semi formed poos----usually during the night ( in the bathroom!), this is followed by several creamy poos, & they can have a lot of mucous covering them, then just water. After a day or two, his poos are hard like pebbles. We have tried many types of foods, for past 5/6 months he has been on Nature's Diet---a gluten free diet, & we use Wainwrights treats. He does produce smelly farts! By the way, this is the only food he has eaten happily for so long----with other foods after a few weeks, he backed off & refused to eat them. He used to get very stressed when we left him alone, but after using Adaptil---he appears to accept being left alone. He is a happy doggie, but does show stressed behaviour with some people & big dogs.

Dr. Scarlett :

Hi,

Dr. Scarlett :

Can I get a little more information?

Dr. Scarlett :

So in-between the mucus-covered, soft stool episodes, his stool is a completely normal consistency? Or do they tend to be the hard little pebbles? Are you treating him with anything when he has the diarrhea?

Dr. Scarlett :

Any vomiting that occurs during these episodes or at other times?
