Good Morning and welcome. I am Dr. Loretta, a licensed veterinarian and I am happy to answer your question.
This hair loss can be caused by many things. This could be allergies, metabolis issues such as a low thyroid or other issues such as parasites. It is best to have your vet examine Shane and run skin scrapings and perhaps biopsies and blood work to know what is causing this.
The most common cause is allergies and the treatment is as follows:
If there is no response, then your vet will have to run tests such as skin scrapings and cultures and blood work to determine the cause and then they will treat according to these results.
Does that make sense to you?
Please let me know if you have ANY other questions. My goal is to give you 100% satisfaction and if you are not yet satisfied, please Reply so I can clarify for you
Sincerely, XXXXX XXXXX
