Veterinary questions? Ask a Vet for Answers ASAP
Hi, Welcome to JustAnswer. I am a licensed veterinarian and I'd be happy to help out. Sounds to me like your kitty may have a ruptured joint ligament in her knee or ankle, or she could have a fracture (broken bone). Does she have any apparent wounds on her?
No wounds no
Thanks for your response! When you say the leg gives out is it above or below her knee? Also, is she able to move her tail normally?
Seems to be whole leg that goes need to get her t a vet then
Does she try to walk on the leg at all? She may have a dislocated leg at the hip joint if it seems to be the whole leg. If she can move her leg and her tail this would be good. . .can she?
yeah tail moving and does walk jump u eating drinking sleeping alot
Very good that the tail is moving. Sounds like she is doing OK then, except for her left back leg. One concern is that she may then have a dislocated left hip. This is usually from some blunt force trauma, like being hit by a car, but not run over. This type of injury is best treated right away, as a vet could maneuver the leg back into the hip joint. If this is left, then often surgery is needed. My recommendation is that she be seen first thing in the morning. . .the sooner after the injury, the better the chance of this being maneuvered into the hip socket with success and avoiding surgery.
