How old and which breed is your dog, please? 37.9C is normal but vomiting and diarrhea with blood in both vomitus and bowel movements indicates a severely inflamed and possible ulcerated gastrointestinal tract and so severe gastroenteritis or pancreatitis would top my differential diagnosis list. You can't medicate a vomiting patient effectively and so your dog's vet should attend to him in hospital and treat only parenterally - in any way other than oral. IV fluids are essential in order to replace your dog's fluid deficit and electrolyte imbalance which is causing your dog's "tiredness" and "sleepiness". Injectable antiemetic and antacid drugs are likely to be administered as well. Please respond with additional information and further questions or concerns if you wish.

Thank you. Has she been properly vaccinated? In other words, should I be concerned about parvovirus or canine distemper? Has she recently ingested something inappropriate - something new, spoiled, or perhaps a non-food item?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes all vaccinations up to date.
Also neutered.

Thank you once again. The etiology of his malaise is unknown, then, at this time. His symptoms are severe enough, however, for me to recommend his being seen by his vet at your earliest convenience. Please continue our conversation if you wish.

Vets open at 9am in the morning. Anything I can do in the meantime?
Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 1 year ago.

Yes, see if you can get as much infant fluid and electrolyte replacer (Pedialyte or generics) down him as possible. If he vomits it, don't force more down him. Fast him. If he vomits water he drinks, please replace it with ice cubes for him to lick.
