My 5 year old female cat, Lily constant leak yellow urine.

Customer Question

Good morning,
My 5 year old female cat, Lily constant leak yellow urine. She broke her tail 2 years ago. Do you think this is a connected issue? Is there something I can do or give to her? I am not keen to bring her to the to the local vet. The last cat I had had a thyroid problem and went I brought her to him, she reacted really badly to the medication and I had to let her go.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today.

How long has she been showing signs?

Does she have feeling in her tail?

Is she leaking when awake or asleep?

Has she been urinating more often or straining to go?

Does she pass large or small volumes of urine?

Are her gums pink or white/pale? Moist or sticky?

If you press on her belly, any tensing, tenderness, discomfort, or pain?

Could she have eaten anything harmful (ie plants, chemicals, human meds, etc)?
