Can you tell me exactly what cables your using and where these are plugged into on the computer?

Thank you
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I am using the original cables that came with camcorder which are plugged into the KWorld DVD maker via the red and white audio plugs and a yellow video plug (all three are together). The DVD maker USB is then plugged into the front of the PC (desktop) as well as the black audio jack. I have also tried putting the USB and audio jack into the back of the PC but there is no difference.

ok, the audio jack I believe your plugging it into is the HEadphone jack, but it needs to go into the Microphone / Line IN jack.

This will be on the back of the computer. Check for it, it will have a microphone symbol, say Mic or will have Line In on it.

Can you make sure your plugging it into this plug please Eileen as I believe this is the problem. Then capture and tell me if it now captures the sound.

Let me know the results please

Thank you

Hello RichieMe, I thought you had cracked it, I am getting sound when I import straight from the camera but when I played the preview today there is no sound. I changed the audio jack as you suggested into the line in socket on the back of my PC and it worked so far but not in the final playback

Expert:  Richard replied 3 years ago.
ok, the final playback will be a codec missing.

Download and run this file please.

When running it, let it install and when it has, then restart the computer and play the final playback.

Let me know if you then have sound please.

Thank you for your reply. I have tried to install the codec as you said. The Set Up box said I had a broken Cyberlink link which I could not delete.

Cyberlink came with my computer when I bought it but I have never used it.

I tried to delete the programme but it said a missing file SKRSet.xml which I have not been able to locate at all so the Cyberlink sits on my PC unable to be of any use. I hope this makes sense to you.
