Hello Jacqueline! Thank you for your question. I will be assisting you today.

I'm sorry about the issue. Chromebook is new and works differently. For downloading pictures from the camera, you do not connect the camera to the Chromebook. Please take out the SD / SDHC memory card from the camera, then insert it to the memory card slot of the Chromebook, then you can download pictures.

Here are the steps for removing the SD memory card from the camera if you need; please click on the image below for steps/illustrations:

Also, here is an instructions video for transferring files, such as photos, from any external device to the Chromebook:

Note: The video shows with a USB drive, but works the same with the SD memory card.

I'm sorry. That is strange. What's the exact model of your Chromebook please?

Thank you

Chromebook samsung

Expert:  Viet - Camera Tech replied 3 years ago.

Can you please check the exact model of the Samsung Chromebook, such as XE303C12 or XE550C22, etc.? Please check at the back/bottom of the chromebook.

Also, are you sure the memory card does not fit? Memory cards and memory card slots are stanardard. There is only one way to insert.

Note: the memory card won't go all the way in. If you insert the memory card correctly to the chromebook's memory card slot correctly, then when you push it again & release, it will spring out.

1Insert the card into the multi card slot in the indicated direction. Please click on the images below to see:

2A new tab opens and the list of files on the card appears. Click on a file to read the data for the file.

If you still cannot insert the memory card to the Chromebook (insert memory card to chromebook is an easier solution), then let's try another way: insert the memory card back to the camera, then turn on the computer

, then on the camera, press the MENU button, then SETUP menu/wrench icon, then go to the USB MODE option, and set it to PictBridge (PTP)

(see the images below for illustrations)

, then connect the USB camera from the camera to the Chromebook

, then see if it works.
