Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I reset the camera using the two green button press method. Also used default reset functions as per Nikon Manual.

Ok. That is the correct method.

Ok, let's see if I understand what is going on. When you say that the cam will not come out of Auto are you saying that when you put the camera into aperture priority, you are not able to select the aperture?

Please let me know so that we can continue.

Regards
Steve
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

That,s exactly right. I,m unable to select S, A or P or any of the other settings.

Expert:  Steve G. replied 3 years ago.
Ok, under that dial is another. Is it set to S for 'Single' (shot)?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Camera is set to single.

Expert:  Steve G. replied 3 years ago.
Ok, turn dial to'M'.

Then spin the front and rear dials on your right hand. Do the aperture and speed values change in the top LCD?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

No they do nothing.

Expert:  Steve G. replied 3 years ago.
Unfortunately that does not sound promising.

How old is the camera? Purchase date?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

9 months old.

Expert:  Steve G. replied 3 years ago.
Ok. It looks like it is going to have to go back to Nokon. We have done the two button reset and the dial and sub dials are non-responsive. Something has disconnected inside.

Nikon will have you send teh camera to one of their service centers, usually the one closest to you. You would have to initiate the repair >>>HERE<<<

I'm sorry it is not something we can repair via this dialog, it does appear that the camera is faulty.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

Regards
