Customer Question

I have a Panasonic HC-V 500 camcorder. on which I took some video footage of a garden. When I connected it to my PC it came up "read only" on the camcorder screen. I tried to transfer it to my PC (to Picasa) and it went through the motion but when I imported it it did not do so/ What's the problem? Is the "read only" significant?

Hello there,

I've been working hard to find a Professional to assist you with your question, but sometimes finding the right Professional can take a little longer than expected.

I wonder whether you're ok with continuing to wait for an answer. If you are, please let me know and I will continue my search. If not, feel free to let me know and I will cancel this question for you.

Please note, I am just a moderator for this category, I can only try and find experts to help, I can't answer the question itself.

Thank you!

Adam

Yeah the "read only" means alot , its like you can view the inventory but you cant actually have any of it.

Check the my computer section of your pc and see if while connected you can see the device as a seperate storage device?

If so open it up by double left clicking and see if you can drag and drop it to your desktop or another folder. Then check see if video plays.

Let me know thank you
