No I do not need to save any photos they are most anyway on my computer.

No I do not know how to proceed re format option

Please try the following:

1. Press the button MENU/SET.

2. Press the Down Arrow button until it highlights the option FORMAT.

3. Press the Right Arrow button.

4. Press the Up Arrow button to select YES.

5. Press the MENU/SET button.

I think that you have cracked it for me. Somehow or other I got FORMAT and have deleted all data.. The trouble is that I must stop now for urgent domestic matters. I hope to try later today
