I have a Kodak Easy Share, which just seems to have given up

Resolved Question:

I have a Kodak Easy Share, which just seems to have given up the ghost.
I bought a new battery and new charger as I thought that was the problem but unfortunately this does not seem to have solved the problems. The shutter button at times does seem or appear to be lower ( as appearing stuck ). Can you suggest anything I can do to resolve the problems.. I miss my little camera as I take photos of birds from my kitchen window. Missed a Sparrow Hawk yesterday.

Can you remove the battery and then hold the shutter button down for 60 seconds and release.
Then wait 10 minutes, put the battery back in and tell me please if it now operates.

Taking the battery out and leaving for ten minutes has not resolved the problem.

Have carried out in sequence what you asked but has not resolved the problem.

Thank you, ***** ***** needed to have you do it exactly as specified for it to have a chance of working
It confirms it is the internal memory that has faulted.
A corrupted firmware can cause this. But we have ruled this out by trying to hard reset it. We have also removed all residue power from it.
I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the camera to have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.
I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Unfortunately it is out of warranty so will not be covered.
