I have a JVC camcorder(Model GZ-E207REK) made in 2012 & have downloaded the "Detailed User Guide" I have downloaded the videos from the camera onto the hard drive of my laptop using Everio MediaBrowser and it is now stored in chronological-calendar based order. Can I copy the videos onto a MEMORY STICK( as opposed to a DVD-R DISK) so that my grandchildren can view the videos on their tablets etc? Thank you John Whyte

yes, insert the usb memory stick into the usb port on your computer, then go to the video file on your computer, then right click the file, then choose copy, then select the drive that the memory stick is in. Let me know if you have any problems please.

Thank you very much for your advice on copying videos from the PC to memory stick- it has worked well but there remains one puzzling problem re: Playback. On the Memory stick copy the video clips do not run on to the next one automatically - they stop playing after a few seconds. (However if I click onto the calendar on the Everio MediaBrowser on the PC hard drive they keep running with a minimal break between clips). Hope it's something simple that I have overlooked! This sounds like you may be choosing the file directly from the USB when it plays and stops. Go to your player first and choose play from the usb.

Thank you again for your advice on playback. I have tried several times to master the playback problems but sadly no success!
When I try to play from the File Explorer on the laptop the only PLAY option is when I do the following:-
Choose USB2(E:) on THIS PC menu.
Choose "folder"
Double click folder - this shows the individual video clips.
Only when I click on the Individual 1st video clip does a VIDEO TOOLS/PLAY option appear on the top Task Bar.
PLAY/PLAY ALL are the choices.
But those video clips DO NOT run on to the next one automatically on either the PC or the Memory stick.
Have I missed something?? John Whyte

Install VLC player on your PC and then try opening the files with it. It is a great player and also a free download>http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

Thank you for your prompt reply. I have installed the VCL player OK & have opened the files. Video clips now seem to be running on properly BUT the picture quality is much worse than the PCs own Media Player as the Pixels keep breaking up. So far have not been able to fix this - any ideas?? try these steps please>on vlc> go to >Tools -> Preferences -> Videouncheck Use hardware YUV->RGB conversionsThen select Video click on the dropdown list next to Output and select OpenGL

Thanks again! Open GL has improved the picture quality somewhat but is there a final tweak to get rid of pixel break-up on close-up shots and match the original sharp pictures from the JVC camcorder?
Also, will any other devices i.e i-pads/tablets used to play the USB memory stick also need the VCL player download? John Whyte
