Hello,

I've been working hard to find a Professional to assist you with your question, but sometimes finding the right Professional can take a little longer than expected.

I wonder whether you're ok with continuing to wait for an answer. If you are, please let me know and I will continue my search. If not, feel free to let me know and I will cancel this question for you.

Thank you,

Shantal

Hi Mike

My vehicle registration is SP05 LMJ and it does not have a green LED which is sometimes used a routine service indicator.

The vehicle provides a text readout which reads "Time for Routine Service"

Hope that is helpful.

Can this be reset without having to go to a Volvo agent?

Best Regards

Hello there Richard -

I see both your replies as above - inc the one / reply with your reg number - but Ive only just had them.. I do apologise - it must have been a system fault as Im normally sent any replies straight away -

So Im really sorry about that ..

Ok - re the issue you ask about - I will give you the tech info on that - as follows:

  • NOTE: If the service interval indicator flashes it may be caused by one of the service interval indicator parameters not being programmed. This can only be carried out using suitable diagnostic equipment. Always check for any stored trouble codes as this may affect the resetting of the service interval indicator.

  • Ensure all doors are closed.
  • Turn ignition key to position I.
  • Press and hold reset button 104667A
  • Immediately turn ignition key to position II (within 2 seconds).
  • Keep button 104667A depressed until service message has been reset.
  • A yellow warning light will illuminate when it is time to release button .
  • Release reset button within 4 seconds. There will be an audible signal when reset is complete.
  • If reset button is not released within 4 seconds, the service interval indicator will not be reset.

Click the image below to help - go with the instructions above for you:

So work through as above on this one - one way or the other that will see it sorted for you - and once again, I can only apologise for the system delay...

Do let me know if you need anything else at all -

Kind Rgds - MIKE.

...Meantime..............Please do click on the "OK/ Excellent ratings" for me as that's how Im credited for helping you - Thank you in advance for that...

You can and are most welcome to get back to me anytime you might need - clicking the OK ratings does not close you out at all..

Rgds, MIKE.
