My son has Volvo v70xc 2.5 turbo year 2001 petrol. He parked

Customer Question

My son has Volvo v70xc 2.5 turbo year 2001 petrol. He parked on slope with low fuel & now car will not start. He has recently purchased vehicle so not yet worked out it`s layout etc. He lives really remote in Scotland & has no spare fuel. I am trying to help diagnose this on web (from Somerset) as he has no internet available.
Maybe a new (2nd hand) fuel pump?
Any ideas welcomed please,
Worried Mumsie

Enes :

Hello and welcome to our web page here my name is***** a Certified Volvo Car Expert Mechanic.I'm going to try today to answer your question.

Enes :

fuel pumps go bad on that car

Enes :

but I would do first add gass that thank two chaMBERS LEFT AND RIGHT FOR FUEL AND AT SLOPE FUEL CAN MOVE AWAY FROM FROM FUEL PUMP SIDE

Enes :

HE CAN ALSO TEST FUEL PUMP PRESSURE IF NO FUEL FUEL GAUGES GO TO INJECTOR FUEL RAIL AND PRESS ON THE VALVE IT LOOKS LIKE TIRE VALVE WHILE SOMONE CRANKS CAR IT SHOULD SPRAY LOT FUEL FROM RAIL IF FUEL PUMP IS GOOD BUT BEST WAY IS WITH FUEL GAUGE
