What is the make and model of your phone and how are you trying to pair your phone?
Do you have access to Skype on your computer by any chance?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Fame GT-S6810P and I am trying to pair to my pc using bluetooth.

On the phone go to settings>>Bluetooth>>tap on it. It will open a bluetooth screen. at the top ensure it is ON.

right below this you will see the name of the phone. tap here and you will see the phone is visible for 2 minutes with a counter on the right.

now on your computer click on start then type bluetooth>>click on the bluetooth link.

It should show a list of bluetooth connected devices. If you phone is listed here right click on it and select control

if it is not listed click on add device on the top left of the window.

Another screen will open and search for you phone. it should see it. click on it and click on next.

Follow the prompts to the finish.

please let me know how this goes.

out of curiosity,
why do you want to connect your cell phone to the laptop? Is this for internet connectivity?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Thanks, ***** ***** your instructions but windows does not appear to show my phone.

I want to connect my phone to my pc in order to be able to type my text messages from the pc keyboard.

in that case try this wifi keyboard.

As long as your phone and your keyboard are on the same wifi you should be able to do it.

let me know how this goes.

When I type bluetooth in the start box what do I click on next.

I don't think windows is seeing my phone

Did you try the app called WiFi keybaord?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

where do I find the app called WiFi keyboard

on the phone open all apps then look for play store. When you get there, search for wifi keyboard. Install this app.

Once you have the keyboard installed here are the steps to set it up. Takes less than 2 minutes.

Could it be that my mobile is in no way compatible with my pc

i Doubt it. I see the phone has Bluetooth Yes, v4.0 with A2DP. this is pretty good. Are you in the US?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

No I'm not in the US.

i will open this other experts to try and assist you.

I'm having a short break from trying to pair my mobile with my pc.

My name is Jason. I look forward to helping you today.

Here is an application that I have used for years:

The application above is fantastic because you don't have to sync the phone with the phone via bluetooth, a cable, or anything. It links up via the Internet.

You can send and receive phone messages via your computer and the computer keyboard.

They layout of the program looks like any other instant messenger program.

I look forward to your next message or your rating below.

I would like to continue trying to solve my problem please.

Your problem is that you wish to use your computer to send and receive text messages via your phone.

My solution does what you are trying to do.

After you link your computer up via bluetooth, you will have to connect via bluetooth every time you turn your computer on. Also, you will have to do that once you leave the computer and come back to it.

I have done what you are attempting to do a couple thousand times. Linking up via bluetooth is not reliable.

If you wish to do it via bluetooth, you will have nothing but problems. This is why I suggested the better solution of using the MySMS application or another similar application.

You can send and receive phone messages on any computer on the Internet. You just have to open the application on the computer and log into your account.

If you wish, I can remote into your system and help you set this up.
