I have a samsung galaxy s5 phone which has been infrcted with the virus. Can it be removed?
Hi and Welcome. My Name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you today with your question.

Your S5 is affected by malware/virus. Open Play Store application and install the avast! Ransomware Removal application. Run it :

If that didn't work, then boot your S5 in Safe Mode and then remove the virus. Follow the steps below;

Power off the device. Press and hold the Power key for one or two seconds to turn on the device. Immediately, press and hold the Volume down key until the lock screen displays. This will boot your S5 to Safe Mode. Then install avast! Ransomware Removal from Play Store and run it to remove the virus.

Please let me know if that didn't work, so we can continue troubleshooting.

As you suggested I installed Avast! Ransonware Removal and ran it. After it scanned my phone I dialogue box appeared saying that I had to uninstall the software before I could continue using my phone. So I hit uninstall. When it was finished I tried using my phone and it weemed fine. The pop-up was gone and I was able to get on the internet. I just wonder however, is that correct that the software needed to be uninstalled or was that part of the virus "self defense" feature?

Avast is the one of the best antivirus application out there. It will find and delete all the viruses and its related applications from your phone. I think it just uninstalled the viruses' application. If you are not getting the porncheck popup, then the virus has been completely deleted by Avast.
