I am mildly disabled and have used my Nexus 7 for the last year. However with the latest Android update the simple (for me0 swiping the large circle to the right was fine, but now I have a very smell padlock at the bottom that has to be swiped up. Because of me disability I have to get my carer to do this. Therefore I have 2 questions:
1. can I revert back to the old screen lock
2. can I disable the new one and not have a screen lock at all
Hi John and Welcome. My Name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you today with your question.
The style has changed in new update. You can disable the screen lock completely.
To do that, follow the steps below;
At the Home screen, touch the All Apps button.
Open the Settings app.
Choose Security.
Choose Screen Lock.
Select None in the there. Now every time when you unlock the device, it will show the home screen instead of the old screen lock screen.
