Hi and Welcome. My Name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you today with your question. When you setup your phone, it would ask you to set up a backup password ***** it. You probably setup it, but you don't remember it now. If your phone doesn't recognize the finger on scanner on 5 attempts or so (happens if there is dirt, liquid, dust etc), it will lock the finger print scanner and ask you for backup password. If you don't remember the password, then may need to factory reset your phone which will erase everything from it. This is how they designed phone. What is the model and make of your phone ?
