I have a book by Adolf Wolff (Friend and mentor of Man Ray)

This answer was rated:

I have a book by Adolf Wolff (Friend and mentor of Man Ray) published in1914.
Signed by the author and numbere 19 of 50 and printed on hand made paper from Arche in France.
The title is Songs of Rebellion songs of life songs of love, published by Albert and Charles BoniXXXXXNew York, 1914.
I can fine various references in mueseum archives and University library's, and reviews in the publications of the period, including the Glebe magazin

Adolf Wolff is known more for his sculptures, but was a leading light in the American art and anarchist/socialist circles in the early 1900, s.

However I can find no sale prices for this poetry book.
Can you advise?
Hi There~

My name is XXXXX XXXXX I am here to help with your question.

Because of the low print run of this limited edition volume, there are no transparent auction nor retail records available to the public.

Using comparables and common denominators of time frame and publishers Albert & Charles Boni along with the following criteria of limited edition run and signed by author your book has the potential to retail for $1000 - $2000 on today’s market.

A great way to gain a consensus opinion about the value of what you have is to contact rare book dealers and auction houses and seek an estimate for possible sale.

Here are some suggestions of companies to contact:

Bauman's Rare Books in Manhattan -

PBA Rare Book Auctions in San Francisco:

Swann’s Auction Galleries:

Bloomsbury London:

Heritage Auctions:

Australian Book Auctions:

Dominic Winter Auctons:

Bonham’s Book and Manuscripts Dept:

It is free to contact auction houses and get an estimate for sale. You can contact each auction house through their website. You will send them photos and information. You would not be obligated to sell with any of them. Please bear in mind that estimates will vary from each business, and that the highest estimate is not necessarily a guarantee of a sale.

Feel free if you have further questions about your limited edition signed volume by Adolf Wolff.

Please only leave feedback when you feel satisfied your question has been answered.

Our conversation will continue as long as you please, even after a rating is left.
