Customer Question

I have a quantity of white china with gilded decoration - no back-stamp but with a pattern/consignment number 909 (possibly 606) in red on the back. The decoration is a band on the rim with an inner band of simple scrolls and a fan shape pattern, then a further pattern of dots separated by narrow red lines and narrow band at the inner edge of the ring. Small irregularities suggest it is hand painted. Definitely old - any date from mid 19thC backwards would fit with the known history

Hello and welcome! My name is Doris.
I have been an antiques collector, dealer and appraiser for over 56 years.
I will be pleased to help you.

Most probably, I will not be able to identify the porcelain factory but I can give you value if you tell me the following.-

"Sets" come in many different sizes.

Please tell me the following -

How many people does your set serve?

How many pieces does each person have?

What serving pieces are there? These can add as much as 30% to the value of a set.

Is value enough information for you but not the maker?

Kind regards,
