Modern, assayed in Chester and possibly 1986.
Silver is quite a good commodity at present . Whereas an old caster would command a price of well over £100, I am going to ask you to weigh yours in grammes and then we can give an intrinsic value and add on a proportion because it is a useful and attractive item. Greg
152 grammes is almost exactly 5 troy ounces. Taking the sterling silver metal price as about £16, that makes about £80. So a valuation of £100 to £120 is sensible. Beware putting modern silver into auction because with fees you will end up with LESS than the £80 generally. Hope that helps. Greg
