Pound notes in good condition found behind a cupboard on a house renovation

Nice to discover money.  sadly notes that have been folded or creased (especially such modern ones) are not of interest to collectors. Obviously you cannot spend them..BUT...

The Bank of England WILL honour the value of the notes.

Some people just take them and I think you can post them and be reimbursed into your bank account.

You can download a form and send the notes off.

SOME banks will pay the notes into your account - BUT some branches are remarkably unaware of the rules - so check first.

Post offices may ask you to accept vouchers instead. Don't do that. Hope that helps. Greg
