Customer Question

Hi, I have a Ferroli F24 Combi boiler at a house that I am currently renting. It gave me some hot water 2 hours ago but the c/h did not come on (ie no heat in the radiators). The only light on the display on the boiler indicates "Electric Power Supply (Permanent Light)".
Any idea?

Do you have a switch on the front for hot water or hot water & heating?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

I have 1 dial switch for the hot water and a separate dial switch for the heating.

Need to know ASAP if I can sort it out easily or if I need to call my landlord.

The only quick fix (without any flashing lights showing) is to turn back into hot water only a couple of times and back again, try turning the room stat up and down a couple of times, and making sure the system pressure is at 1.5bar.

Ok. Thanks!

I have followed your suggestions.

So, it has now been 10-15mins and this is what I currently have:

The Central Heating light went on to start with and it remained ON for a few minutes and it is now flashing (intermittent) - for the last 10 mins or so.

Electric Power Supply (fixing light) remains ON permanently.

The heating came on and it is now running.

So, it has now been 10-15mins and the heat is running in my radiators and I have hot water and everything seems to be running ok.

Yet, the light indicators are as described above.

Which leads me to the folowing questions:

Can I consider the problem "fixed"?

Is it something that might happen again and/or that I need to be concerned about for in the future?

Is it something common, minor or something I need to talk to my landlord about?

Please let me know what you think.

It sounds fixed.
It could have been a communication problem with the room stat?

Keep an eye on it, but to be honest you have done all you can via this means.
Good luck.
