my dewalt De0772 does not beep any more when it reads level it beeps for both up and down but not when its level

Here's a couple of suggestions:

1. Try cycling the volume setting. With the unit switched on, press the on/off/volume button(top left).The volume will cycle from “high” to “low” to “off” each time the button is pressed. The volume level is indicated by the volume sign on the display and the number of half circles accompanying the sign.

2. Remove the battery for 10 secs and replace in order to reset the unit.

If neither work, I'll try contact Dewalt for you.

Hi Richard I have put a new battery in the unit and tried the different volumes but neither makes any difference there must surely be some way of altering it as a new one is very expensive and there is obviously nothing wrong with the beeper itself I am nearly at my wits end with it cheers
