Andrew Smith :

Do you have a motorised valve in your airing cupboard?

JACUSTOMER-7trt96ie- : There a valve in my airing cupboard
Andrew Smith :

Ok, silver or white - 2 or 3 pipes?

JACUSTOMER-7trt96ie- : There's 3 pipes and the gauge is gold, am I looking at the right thing?
Andrew Smith :

Andrew Smith :

It should be a square box sat on the pipework with a wire going to it?

JACUSTOMER-7trt96ie- : The valve sorry I don't really know the words you use
Andrew Smith :

Andrew Smith :

is there a lever on the end of it, sticking out?

JACUSTOMER-7trt96ie- : Yes
Andrew Smith :

Can you turn the heating on then can you give the lever a slight push and tell me if it is stiff or slack?

JACUSTOMER-7trt96ie- : The heating is on and it's not really stiff I can move it
Andrew Smith :

Ok, when the heating is on it should be slack showing that the valve is open.

Andrew Smith :

If you push it open and latch it, you will get heating while the hot water is on

Andrew Smith :

You will need to get a new motor fitted or replace the head to cure this

JACUSTOMER-7trt96ie- : Ok so I will need to get someone out to see to it?
Andrew Smith :

Yes, but you will be able to get your heating on until they come now
