Appliance Repair Questions? Ask a Technician for Answers ASAP
When you try using the machine, what exactly happens?
Can you turn the drum fairly easily by hand?
OK, and the other question I asked?
OK, thanks for that.
Not sure what you mean by "tries to start 3 times" but, we'll see if there's a stored error code in memory.
Turn the dial to off.
Press and hold the start button along with the button to the left of it.
While holding both buttons, turn the dial 1 click clockwise.
The lights should flash, release the buttons and they should scroll.
If they scroll, turn the dial a further 10 clicks clockwise.
Count the flashes from the end led and let me know how many.
Count the flashes from the start led and let me know how many.
Turn the dial to off, to any program and back to off.
Thanks for that.
The machine is reporting the sensor is faulty.
Unplug the appliance and take the top off.
Look for the carbon brush fitting that connects a wire to the drum.
Check to see if the carbon brush has worn out or broken.
If ok, and if it's in contact with the strip around the drum, it suggests a wiring or control board fault.
Let me know what you find.
Depends on the pnc of your machine.
Look at the drum, there should be a metal band around it, either on the front of the drum or around the larger part.

Within that part is the carbon brush.
OK, so if it's ok, it leaves wiring and control board.
Sorry, if you've checked the carbon brush and the wiring, and they both test ok, you have to start obtaining and fitting parts.
If both the checkable components are ok, it leaves the main board as the cause.
You have to test them using a multimeter.
I'll opt out of your question now as I don't think you're going to be able to go any further with this.
It all looks ok, it needs to be tested to confirm.
If you can't confirm the wiring and carbon brush are ok, it's just guesswork.
Sorry, the solution is in my posts.
Unfortunately, you cannot do the checks and tests.
