Customer Question

Samsung fridge freezer showing rd fault code then turns off ?

This is a fault with the fridge damper. (Refrigerator Damper).

The control board isn't receiving a signal to say it's open or closed.

The damper is located in the freezer compartment.
Unplug the appliance.
Take the rear panel inside the freezer out.
You should find the damper in there.
It's a small motor with a flap that spins round.
When the fridge needs cooling, it opens.
When the fridge is cold enough, it closes.
Your one is faulty so you'll likely need to replace it.
Check it out, see what you find and get back to me if you need more help.
Hope this helps
