Customer Question

A bulb has blown on my range cooker hood RCH110CHSTSS this has caused the entire appliance to stop working. I've removed the bulb and reset the fuse but its still not working, is there perhaps a reset button somewhere on it?

Andrew Smith :

Have you reset the breaker in the consumer unit?

Andrew Smith :

If you have then you have probably blown the fuse in the plug

Andrew Smith :

The plug is normally hiding behind the smoke hood at the top

Andrew Smith :

Depending on who fitted it, it will have a fuse in the plug that needs replacing or a fused spur that will need a new fuse

JACUSTOMER-pddf2snk- : Will look for the plug in the smke hood
Andrew Smith :

Yes, let me know

JACUSTOMER-pddf2snk- : Smoke hood appears to be riveted in place.
JACUSTOMER-pddf2snk- : have reset the breaker.
JACUSTOMER-pddf2snk- : no plug in sight.
Andrew Smith :

Can you follow the wire from the extractor?

JACUSTOMER-pddf2snk- : all too late now, Christmas dinner cooked in the semi dark.
Andrew Smith :

Ok, if you follow the wire you will find it

Andrew Smith :

At least you made it through Christmas - well done!
