Please do me a favor, check inside the freezer, on the rear wall, let me know if there is any excessive frost there?
Also may I have the model #, and the age of the fridge?
Thank you Maria.

Hi Mike,

Yes there is frost on the inside of the bottom freezer part, not the fridge part though. serial no XXXXXXXXX 81541600100 (if that's any good)'s 9 yr old model hotpoint quodrio.

Hope that's some help Mike........Thanks!!

Hi Maria,
Thats a sign that the unit needs to be defrosted. There may be a defrost problem but we cant say that yet as it may be normal and in need of this.
Please check the door seals all the way around and if they seal well. you need to remove all items from the fridge and freezer ( I know this sucks) but then leave the doors ope and unit turned off, for 24 hours to defrost fully behind the rear wall.
Then, clean up any standing water inside and outside the unit and you can then turn it back on. It will work fine, but if in the next few weeks this happens again, please contact me by simply writing to me.
I will work with you until this is for sure fixed. But Since this question may continue for some time, if you will rate my service as good or better
before you close this window, the system here will allow me to schedule free follow ups with you
