My whirlpool oven is displaying the word STOP. Its approximately 10 years old, I did look in the initial handover booklet which says press Button 2 and reset clock. I don't know what is button 2 and don't know how to reset the clock - HELP ! Sorry to be so girlie
Turn the left hand knob to off.

Turn the power onto the machine.
When it shows stop, press the button below the display.
If the button works, the word goes out and a cursor appears at the bottom of the screen.
Press the button repeatedly until you get the cursor to the far right of the display.

Turn the right knob to set the time.
Press the button.

Your machine should now be working.

If the button doesn't work, let me know.

I'm at work at the moment and have left the oven saying STOP ! but I will try it when I get home. I hate anything technical so I will come back to you tomorrow, what do you mean by turn the power onto the machine, God I sound thick !

You need to turn the power off first.
Always best to start from a new start.

I don't know whether I can get to the power switch as its built in I did look last night but will investigate further tonight. Would it be in the cupboard next to the cooker ? If you wouldn't mind getting your chrystal ball out that would be great ! I have a hob button on the wall but thats not it is it ?. Unfortunately being at work isn't helping sorry.





You can try without powering off first.

If it doesn't work, and if the switch isn't on the wall, you'll very likely find it in a cupboard.

If it's a red switch on the wall, they've likely wired both in together.
If not, check the cupboards.
