Yes I can see now if I flex the handle away there are screw holes in the handle back.

The handle is intact so hopefully will tighten up on. Thanks

Is there a recommended method to remove the broken Handle posts from the door frame and not damage the screws?

The only way is remove the screws to remove the handle...the new one usually comes with the screws as well...
