Customer Question

we have a CDA C1592 WH washer dryer. it hasnt been used for 5 months. it isnt taking a power and will not empty. sometimes the door rubber has marked the washing.
Does the machine need resetting as it hasnt been used? do we empty the water by taking the bottom panel off?

The first thing you need to do is get the water out of the machine.

Check the drain hose where it connects to the house drains.
If it's onto a spigot, take the hose off of the spigot and check them both for a blockage.
(ensure the spigot has been opened).

If both are clear and it's not draining, you need to manually remove the water.

Put a towel and shallow dish at the bottom front.
Take the plastic cover below the front panel off and slacken the filter cap a little.
Tighten the cap when you need to empty the dish.

Repeat this until all the water is out of the machine.

Take any laundry out.

Put the machine on spin only.
Look into the open filter housing, is the X shaped pump impellor running?

Did you manage to sort the problem out?
Was the pump / filter blocked with debris?

This was the most likely cause.

If it's still not running, let me know and I'll help further.
