I have a model 65 - 18. It's at least 7 years old - quite possibly older. Recently it started to trip the RCD when activated. Investigation showed water leaking from the bottom of the machine. I assume that's what's causing the RCD to trip. What if anything can I do to fix this? I'm a competent DIY'r. I have the Insinkerator manual published in 2000.

Hi, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I have been in the home improvement and repair field for 20 years. I will be very glad to help you today. That is the one thing that indicates that the disposal is done. Time to replace it. Once the inner seals are leaking there is no repair.

I haven't heard from you. Was the information I provided helpful?

Yes fine - although I would have preferred advice on how to repair it.
