We have a Siemens fridge freezer KG31V493GB which has stopped working. There is power to the control panel and interior light but compressor not working. Any DIY checks?
Unplug the appliance.
Wait 10 minutes.
Plug it in, wait (up to 20 minutes).
Does it start running?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.
Nope. Nothing
Thanks for that.

That points to a faulty control board or faulty compressor.

Do you have, and can you use, a multimeter?
If you do and can, you can narrow the fault down.

Unplug the appliance.
Take the box off the wiring at the compressor.

Hook the multimeter leads to the black wire and the neutral going in.

Run the leads out to your multimeter and set it to Volts AC

Plug in the machine.
If you get 240 volts at the compressor and it doesn't run, it's faulty.
If you get nothing, then it's the board at fault.

Hope this helps
