Ive a Bosch exxcel 1200, even the shortest washes are taking

This answer was rated:

I've a Bosch exxcel 1200, even the shortest washes are taking longer than the displayed time. This is an issue with all the washes. We have the machine 6 years and this has only become a problem in the last 2 months.
Put the machine on it's hottest wash.

Check during the wash to see if it's heating.

Let me know what you find.

How do we cheak if it's heating?I put it on he hottest wash, ran for 15 mins and turned off. Water was cold, is that what you mean?
15 mins isn't long enough.

Feel the door glass, if it' s heating, the glass gets hot

Customer: replied 4 years ago.
Ok, it's been running 35min and the door glass is still cold.
Thanks for that.

The heater is the most likely cause of the failure.
The control board can also cause the problem, but, the heater is by far the most common cause.

You would need to obtain and fit a new heater to sort this out.

Once fitted the times should sort themselves out.

Obviously if you cannot do the work yourself, you'll need to get someone in to do it for you.

Hope this helps

Is there much work required to fit a heater or board ? What would the costs been for either?
Can you post the E-Nr number of the appliance please?
It's on a label in the door recess.
Once I know this, I'll see how you change the heater.
