we have an Ignis ARL761A Integrated 70/30 Fridge Freezer in White - 263/65 litre capacity, can you tell us how we can defrost the freezer part without having to turn the whole thing off
I'm afraid you can't turn off 1 part of the machine.

There's only 1 compressor and that feeds both compartments, so this makes it impossible to stop only 1 part.

What you can do is a fast defrost, this means you'll keep the fridge cool while you defrost the freezer.

The alternative is to empty the whole machine, turn it off and wait for it to defrost on it's own.

For a faster defrost, try the following.

Turn the thermostat to off.
Keep the fridge door closed.

Put towels down in front of the freezer and put a bowl of boiling water inside the freezer.
This will help speed up the defrosting.
Don't chip at the ice though, you can burst the pipework.

You can put a bowl at the bottom and use the "drain chute" to convey the defrosted water to it.

If you aim a fan heater into the freezer, this will further speed up the defrost.

Try it out, get back to me if you need more help.

Hope this helps
