Customer Question

We have a Hotpoint EW93G Slot in cooker and recently the main oven switches on and off intermittently on its own. When in use the temp cannot be controlled and often alternates between fan or no fan. Any suggestions as to cause and possible replacement part would be appreciated.

This suggests the selector switch and/or main control board is at fault.

As you cannot control the temperature and you get the fan on or off, it really does suggest the fault is with the control board.

I'd suggest checking the wiring to the main board and to the controls in the facia.
If they all check out ok, you'll need to replace the main board to sort the problem out.

Check it out, see what you find and get back to me if you need more help.

Hope this helps
