1. how do we open it to get the washing out?
2. Phoned the service agent who I advised that there would be no electric to fix it and they didnt seem to think that having no electric was a problem?
You'll need to manually drain the water out via the filter (or draining tube if fitted) at the bottom front.
Once empty, if you pull the tab near the filter down, the door should open.

You don't need the electric on when you are repairing the machine, only afterward.

Check it out, let me know what you find and get back to me if you need more help

Hope this helps

Thanks have managed to drain and open the machine to take out the wet washing!

Will wait for the repair man to see why it is tripping the electrics all the time... do you have any ideas on why it may be doing that?

There's a multitude of things can cause tripping.

Common causes are the heating element and the motor.
Leaks onto electrical components can cause it too.

Good luck with the repair.
Glad you got the washing out.
