Just replaced bulb in built in bosch oven and new light won't go off
Can you post the E-Nr number of the appliance please?
It should be on a label in the door recess.

Has any work been done to the machine other than the light bulb?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

E-Nr HBN9153GB. A few weeks ago, a new element was put in
OK, thanks for that.

The most likely cause of the bulb staying on is the selector switch has a welded contact (can happen when something blows).

Isolate the power to the appliance.
Take it out and take the top off

Take the facia off (buttons and knobs too) and take the switch out.
Check the leaves on the underside to see if they've burned

If welded together, carefully pry it apart and it should work again.
If not, you'll need a new switch.

Reassemble and try again.

Obviously, if you cannot do the work yourself, you'll need to get someone in to do it for you.

Hope this helps
