I filled the dishwasher salt up and forgot to put the cap back

This answer was rated:

I filled the dishwasher salt up and forgot to put the cap
back on before i put it on a wash cycle and now it's not
working any ideas of what I could do to get it back up
and running?

When you say its not working whats it actually doing wrong for you?

Is it making any noise?

Will it fill with water?

Or is the pump running all the time?

I can hear a noise and a jet of watwr is

continuously pumping water where the

waste water goes

Ok thought that may have been the case.

What you will find is water has overflowed into the base and has activated the antiflood switch.

What you need to do is pull the dishwasher out from under the unit and lay it on its back. This will allow the water to drain out from the base but make sure the salt cap is back on first.

Once the water is out stand it back upright and reinstall and this should cure the fault here and get the dishwasher back up and running again.

If you need anymore info just get back to me.
