Andrew Smith : Ok, not a timer problem as that only shuts off gas to the oven.
Andrew Smith : Does your model have a glass drop down lid?
Andrew Smith : If this is the case then there is a valve with a vertical pin at the back corner of the top that shuts off the gas to the burners, if this pin is tuck down then you will get no gas
Andrew Smith : It sounds like you gas man was not so much an engineer?
JACUSTOMER-854493ko- : No glass lid. Gas man was from National Grid as he checked gas supply to house. He had a look at cooker too. Checked has supply to pipe behind cooker which was fine. Cooker worked absolutely fine the day before too.
