DIF 16 dishwasher After finishing a cycle it now wont start

Customer Question

DIF 16 dishwasher
After finishing a cycle it now won't start and lights 3 and 4 (the half submerged plate and the 50 degree Eco wash) are flashing. Otherwise no response. I have tried turning it off at the mains, letting it rest and turning it on again but still the same. What should I try next?
Cheers, Rob

Lights 3 and 4 flashing indicate a communication error, the electronic boards aren't talking to each other.

Unplug the appliance. (not just switch off)

Wait 15 minutes.

Plug in and see if the software on the boards sorts itself out.

It's wired in so doesn't have a plug. Should I leave it switched off for longer? Or remove the fuse?

OK, if you can't unplug it, try switching off for an hour.

It's a long shot but worth a try.

If still the same, it will need to be taken apart to access the electronics to check the boards and wiring.

Below the door, on the plastic housing, there's a drop down flap.
Behind it is the main control board.

Check it for obvious damage, unplug every plug and plug it back on again.

In the door facia panel is the user control board.
Do the same with this.

Reassemble and try again.
