A new pcb has been fitted to my Micron 60FF ch boiler but keeps going to reset and won't ignite
I am Tech Michael and I will be assisting you today.
Please be patient with us as these are technical questions and some testing may be required.
It may take a bit of back and forth conversation to be sure we have all the information in order to make a proper diagnosis.
Who fitted the new board?
Also please explain why the new board was added? Same issue?
Has the boiler fired ever with the new board?
Thank you
Tech Michael

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

My husband has fitted the board, he previously fitted one approx 10 years ago.

For a while the ignition? has been repeatedly clicking before the boiler ignited seemed to fire for a while then would switch off and repeat the process, eventually would stay on to do its job. This has been getting worse over time (more when heating the water than rads) therefore we decided to fit a new board.

This has been done today but the boiler just keeps resetting I believe.

I don't think the boiler has fired at all with the new board.

Thanks Jackie,
Does it light though even for a short time?
Thank you

No the boiler didn't light at all.

As soon as the new board was fitted only the one light on the timer came on and boiler went to reset as its not working the pump.

Hi, thank you
This sounds for sure like a defective board. There are relays on there for each function, so if it is wired correctly, then the board is defective, this is actually a more common problem than you might think.
