Can you post the model number please.

Also is the washer filling with water at all any time during the wash?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

i think the model is awoe8559

the machine works for about six minutes

you can hear the water entering the machine .

hen it stops and a red light appears saying water tap closed.

if you tthen turn it back on it continues to wash for another 6 minutes and then the process begins again

if you turn it to spin it will empty

Ok first thing to do is check the drain hose. Has it been moved?. If so then check the drain hose isn't low down to the floor as the hose needs to be about 3/4 the height of the washer.

If it goes into a stand pipe make sure the hose isn't pushed all the way down the pipe as that can cause syphoning of the water and cause this fault.

But if the drain hose is fine then you need a mulit meter. Remove the top and there you will see the water valve at the back. Remove the wiring block on there and you will see 3 pins. With your multi meter you need to test between all 3 pins and make sure they all give a reading. If you don't get a reading between 2 of them then the water valve is faulty and will need to be replaced.

Check them out first and see what you find and let me know.

had to callout a guy who told me the memory board was gone and too expensive to fix

ended up buying a new machine plus the callout charge for the other guy plus your charge. not very happy

the machine was purchased in sept 2011 .what a waste of money
